NATIONAL NEWS - Online entries for the Dis-Chem Ride for Sight are now open and will close on Sunday 5 February.
All pre-entries will receive a superior Dis-Chem Goodie bag and will be seeded. The 116km event is a seeding event for the Cape Town Cycle Tour 2018. The vita-thion 62km starts and finishes in the same venue and allows the novice cyclist to experience all the excitement of a super classic ride.
A special prize will be awarded to first Disabled Tandem on the 62km event. Late entries for the 116km will be taken at registration - with penalties and no seeding but 62km late entries are not penalised.
The donation draw (minimum R40) has two super prizes - an Èmonda SL 6 Trek Road Bike valued at R44 000 or seven nights stay for two at Michamvi Sunset Bay resort in Zanzibar, valued at R48 000 (terms and conditions apply).
You can win one of these two prizes even if you do not attend the prize giving. Your donations will be matched by the Dis-Chem Foundation and these funds are dedicated to funding genetic testing for disadvantaged children.
Cash prizes to the value of R82 000 will be awarded in the CSA racing categories and these winners must be present to win. You also need to be present to win one of the lucky draw prizes - total value R180 000. Look for the donation draw box on the podium.

Friday 17 February - Swiss Cycles, 1 Jellicoe Avenue, Rosebank;
Saturday 18 February at the venue.
Out of town CSA racing categories can arrange for number pick up at the event by ensuring Retina SA has a copy of their 2017 licence by fax or email. Call 086 059 5959 to arrange.
Very late entries will reluctantly be taken on the line - cash only, no CSA racing categories.
