KNYSNA SOCCER NEWS - Two strong performances from Pine Stars during last weekend's round of soccer fixtures now see the rookie club within touching distance of the top four in their first KLFA Domestic League season.
Pine Stars have been impressive, to say the least, in their debut season in the Knysna Local Football Association's top division, having earned promotion from the Super League at the end of the 2018/19 season.
The club continued to prove that they do in fact belong in the Domestic League with two convincing wins on Sunday 1 March, with one even coming against the log leaders Smuts United, whom they swept aside 4-0 before trumping fifth-placed FC Rebels 3-1.

They remain in sixth place despite the wins, but are only two points off FC Rebels in fifth and four off Young Boys in fourth.
Other big results during the weekend's action saw Smuts beat Young Boys 2-0, African Eagles came back from 2-0 down to beat Slow Town 4-2, and Red Eagles beat Two For Joy 7-1 to stand only two points off Smuts at the summit of the table.
