KNYSNA SOCCER NEWS - Two strong performances from Pine Stars see the rookie club within touching distance of the top four in their first KLFA Domestic League season.
Pine Stars have been impressive in their debut season in the Knysna Local Football Association's top division.
The club continued to prove that they do in fact belong in the Domestic League with two convincing wins on Sunday 1 March.
They remain in sixth place despite the wins.
The full results from the weekend were:
Saturday:
- Cx Swallows 3-5 Hot Stars
- Flamingo 3-0 Ocean Eleven
- African Roots 4-2 Slow Town
- Young Chiefs 1-1 Hot Spurs (game abandoned early in the second half when Hot Spurs couldn't continue with 6 players)
- Cx Swallows 5-4 Ocean Eleven
- Red Eagles 3-1 Hot Stars
- African Roots 2-0 Hot Spurs (walk over)
- Red Eagles 7-1 Two For Joy
Sunday:
- African Eagles 2-1 Young Chiefs
- Smuts 0-4 Pine Stars
- Rebels 3-3 Young Boys
- Slow Town 2-0 Two For Joy
- Rebels 1-3 Pine Stars
- Smuts 2-0 Young Boys
