PLETTENBERG BAY FOOTBALL NEWS - Greenwood Bay College learner Merrick van der Gaast was recently gifted the opportunity to spend his September/October school holidays in Port Elizabeth taking part in trials with ABSA Premiership team, Chippa United Football Club.
Merrick spent time in PE taking part in a five-day training camp as well as two full days of matches where he impressed scouts and coaches alike.
So much so, that Merrick has now been invited by Ajax Football Club in Cape Town to train with the squad before the end of the year.
