KNYSNA NEWS - Crossroads Football Club, a home for local football talent since its founding in 1989, recently unveiled a new logo, reflecting its identity and commitment to building a strong presence in the Knysna football scene.
The community-based club competes in the Knysna Local Football Association (LFA), operating under the broader South African Football Association (Safa) structures that govern amateur and semi-professional football nationwide.
Led by chairperson Brandon Gelant, Crossroads FC quickly positioned itself as a club focused on nurturing local talent and promoting youth participation.
“Crossroads FC aims not just to compete, but to develop players and provide pathways for future opportunities. We want to instil discipline, teamwork, and a sense of community among our players,” Gelant said.
Beyond the pitch, the club plays an active role in social development, engaging young people, fostering unity, and encouraging participation in sport as a tool for community upliftment.
By combining competitive football with a focus on youth development, Crossroads FC is carving out a place in Knysna’s long-standing football culture.
As the club grows, its leaders hope to create lasting opportunities for players to progress to higher levels while strengthening the local sporting landscape.
