NATIONAL NEWS - The Department of Energy has announced an increase in the price of fuel, set for Wednesday, 6 June.
From tomorrow, motorists will have to dig even deeper into their pockets as the price of petrol will increase by 82c to R15.79 per litre.
Diesel will go up by 85c to R14.19 per litre.
The department said the reasons for the increase were the weakening of the Rand against the US dollar and increase in Brent crude price.
“The Rand went through a period of volatility in April, mainly due to concerns over the China/US trade tariff dispute that put pressure on the currencies of emerging markets,” said the department.
