NATIONAL NEWS - The City of Cape Town is urging the construction industry to do its part in saving water by utilising treated effluent water wherever possible.
The city's water-waste division reached out to companies, saying Cape Town's wastewater is at their disposal.
The city's Xanthea Limberg explains: “To use wastewater that is recycled also makes financial sense because it costs R5.30 per kilolitre, which is much cheaper than drinking water. This helps everyone to ensure that we comply with water constraints and restrictions to protect our precious water supply.”
