NATIONAL NEWS - Douglasdale police have confirmed that a man committed suicide shortly after being apprehended for domestic violence on 9 June, while in their custody.
According to the station’s spokesperson Warrant Officer Balan Muthan, Sector 1 police were called out to a domestic dispute in the early hours of the morning.
“A male suspect was placed in the back of a police van,” stated Muthan. “While our officers were taking a statement from the man’s wife, the man somehow used his shoelaces to hang himself.”
