Alleged drunk driver kills mother and son (4)

NATIONAL NEWS - A mother (24) and a 4-year-old boy were knocked down and killed, by an alleged drunk driver, in Mayberry Park on Saturday, September 6, just after 20:00.

Kevin Peel, spokesperson for the National Paramedical Services, said a family of five consisting also of a father and two more children were reportedly on their way home from a nearby shop when a vehicle came speeding down JG Strijdom Road, the driver reportedly lost control before hitting the mother and son.

It is alleged that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
