GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - In the latest update from the South African Weather Service, they have issued the following weather warnings for today, Wednesday 19 February.

Impact-based warnings

Yellow level 1 warning for damaging wind leading to difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Betty's Bay and Plettenberg Bay.

Yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms leading to damaging winds, excessive ligthning and heavy downpours is expected over the interior of Namakwa in the Northern Cape, today and tomorrow.

Fire danger warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the West Coast district, the western parts of the Cape Winelands including the City of Cape Town as well as eastern parts of the Overberg and Garden Route today.
