GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - According to the South African Weather Service (SAWS), very cold conditions (daytime temperatures of 10°C and below) are expected in places over the interior of the Western Cape and Namakwa District interior (Northern Cape) from Sunday through to Monday, 5 August.
A yellow level 2 warning for damaging winds which may result in structural damage and cause issues for high-sided vehicles on major roads, is expected over the interior of the Western Cape and southern parts of Namakwa on Sunday, 4 August.
There is also a yellow level 2 warning for expected damaging winds and waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea between Saldanha Bay and Plettenberg Bay on Sunday through to Monday.
Cape Town also received a yellow level 2 warning for expected disruptive rainfall leading to localised flooding of roads and settlements in parts of the West Coast, City of Cape Town, Cape Winelands, and western parts of the Overberg districts (W. Cape) on Sunday.
