PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A relief drive is currently underway after 60 to 100 informal homes in Qolweni were gutted when a fire swept through the Plettenberg Bay community at about 03:00 on Saturday morning.
Among those who lost everything in the blaze are about 40 children between one and 15 years old.
Those who want to assist can drop off items for the children at the Native Roots shelter and for adults at the Dutch Reformed Church in Marine Way.
There is a need for Infacare baby milk, nappies and bottles for three babies. Other items like toiletries, food and clothing are also needed.
The cause of the fire is unclear at present.
