PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Bitou Mayor Dave Swart, Deputy Mayor Mavis Busakwe and Speaker Claude Terblanche heralded the opening of a R3m road project, linking New Horizons to Ebenhaezer, on Friday 25 August.
The road is an extension of Saringa Road and links New Horizons with the Ebenhaezer housing project and the secondary school which, according to Terblanche, was symbolic as it linked the old with the new.
Swart said it was a project from which the community benefitted. Two local SMMEs were created by the project which employed 22 locals.
The project was completed within three months.
