KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Networking has spent the past 10 years empowering local entrepreneurs and supporting small businesses in Knysna and surrounds.
One of the founding members, Gudrun Cox, reflected on the journey, saying the network's 10-year milestone is sufficient cause for celebration, especially given the changing economic climate and the challenges many businesses face just to stay afloat.
From humble beginnings, the network has grown to over 30 members. "I am immensely proud of our little business and what we have achieved over the last 10 years," Cox shared.
She attributed the network's longevity and success to the dedication of its members and the affordable annual membership fee of just R250. "Each member supports and promotes the businesses of fellow members, which creates a strong, collaborative community," she explained.
Beyond supporting one another, Knysna Networking regularly sponsors local charities and needy organisations in Knysna and the surrounding areas. "We have grown - steadily and proudly," said Cox. "I'm nearly 90 years old, and I'm very proud to still be an active part of this organisation."
Cox, who chairs the meetings with help from a dedicated committee, ensures that members meet twice a month - every second Wednesday - at the Knysna Yacht Club. These gatherings are an opportunity for members to exchange referrals and business opportunities in a supportive environment.
The group marked its 10th anniversary with a celebratory event at the Dry Dock on Saturday 20 September.
New members are welcome to join and may contact Cox on 072 699 4174 for more information.
