KNYSNA NEWS - PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:
TOWN AREA
POSSESSION OF SUSPECTED STOLEN GOODS - TIDE STR (Mon 11 December @ 16h20) - Suspicious person was reported. Officer found known vagrant in possession of a Samsung M4 cellphone (cleared of personal info). Vagrant and cellphone were taken to SAPS to hand over. No cases were opened.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN STR (Tues 12 December @ 17h45) - Allsound Guards reported 2 female suspect apprehended on suspicion of shoplifting. 3 male suspects fled in VW polo believed to contain the stolen merchandise. Female suspect had no stolen items in their possession and were later released.
SHOPLIFTING - GRAY STR (Wed 13 December @ 12h47) - Officer responded to panic alarm. Shop assistant reported that 2 suspects stole items from the premises and left in a vehicle. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
KNYSNA HEIGHTS / PARADISE / HEUWELKRUIN
BURGLARY - AGNAR STR (Mon 11 December @ 14h41) - Officer was dispatched panic signal. Client on site reported that he saw suspect fleeing from the property and window was broken. SAPS and Allsound Members searched the area. A well known suspect was apprehended and stolen items found in his possession. Suspect was charged.

THEFT - BOKMAKIERIE STR (Fri 8 December @ 16h49) - Officer responded to panic alarm. Client informed him that 2 men had stolen his rubbish bin. The 2 men were spoken to and bin was returned. No cases opened.
ATTEMPTED THEFT - BOKMAKIERIE STR (Sat 9 December @ 19h47) - Client reported someone tried to steal her gas bottle. Suspect left behind a break-in tool. Officer helped secure gas bottle, no case opened.
BURGLARY - HOLIDAY CRESC (Sun 10 December @ 17h35) - Client reported that his garage was broken into. Time frame was within the preceding 2 months. A bicycle and boat battery were reported missing. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
THEFT OUT M.V. - VIGILANCE DR (Thurs 7 December @ 11h41) - Client reported items stolen from his vehicle. Entry via open garage door. Jacket missing. No case opened.
ATTEMPTED THEFT - NEKKIES DR (Fri 8 December @ 19h44) - Allsound Guard requested back after seeing 4 suspects trying to steal diesel. Suspect fled, nothing stolen.
BURGLARY - SONQAYI STR (Fri 8 December @ 23h41) - Officer responded to alarm and removed man from premises. Break-in was then discovered, nothing reported missing. No case opened at the time.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - GEORGE REX DR (Tues 12 December @ 06h13) - Allsound Guard reported an attempted break-in at premises. Window was broken but no access gained to buidling, nothing stolen. Keyholder opened a case with SAPS.
FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD
BURGLARY - LINDSAY STR (Thurs 7 December @ 13h28) - Client reported his weedeater and angle grinder was stolen from his garage. Time of incident unknown. No case was opened.
BURGLARY - FRASER STR (Sun 10 December @ 03h41) - Officer was dispatched to alarm and confirmed positive break-in. Suspect smashed glass of back door, ran in and grabbed a wallet from the table. Wallet was found in nearby property, cash missing. Case was opened.
ATTEMPTED THEFT OUT M.V. - BOYCE CL (Sun 10 December @ 04h02) - Client pressed the panic button after seeing suspect trying to break into her car. Suspect fled when the siren sounded. Nothing stolen.
BURGLARY - BOYCE CL (Sun 10 December @ 09h22) - Client telephoned to report her laptop was stolen during the night. Suspect opened unlatched window and pulled laptop out. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON
THEFT - C.R SWART (Mon 11 December @ 15h07) - Client telephoned to report that items were stolen from their patio including cushions and shoes. Items were recovered in the bush. Time of incident was unknown. No case was opened.
