KNYSNA NEWS - PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:
TOWN AREA
BURGLARY - FICHAT STR (Thurs 31 August @ 05h00) - Control room operator spotted a suspicious person on street camera. Officer responded and apprehended suspect at nearby property. Suspect was busy pulling a flat screen TV through an open window. SAPS were notified, case was opened and suspect charged.
BURGLARY - PITT STR (Thurs 31 August @ 09h20) - Business owner reported a break-in at premises. Lock was cut with bolt cutter. Owner confirmed that 2 laptops; a small TV and binoculars missing. Case was opened.
THEFT - SPRING STR (Thurs 31 August @ 11h42) - Client reported pram stolen from outside the shop. Officers searched town and recovered the pram at the taxi rank. Item was returned to owner, no case opened.
BURGLARY - NEW STR (Fri 1 September @ 07h33) - Client telephoned to report that window was found broken. No entry was gained but alcohol stored next to the window was pulled out. SAPS were informed, case was opened.
BURGLARY - MAIN STR (Fri 1 September @ 09h45) - Client reported a break-in. Small window was broken and cash register was pulled to window. Approximately R3000 cash reported missing. Case was opened.
BURGLARY - GRAY STR (Fri 1 September @ 10h19) - Client phoned in to report that window was broken, cash box was pulled through. Cashbox was recovered on the property. No case opened.
THEFT OUT OF M.V. - MAIN STR (Fri 1 September @ 23h17) - Officer noticed a broken window at parked vehicle. Owner reported nothing missing from vehicle. No case opened.
THEFT - WATERFRONT DR (Sun 3 September @ 12h36) - Client reported that outside freezer was broken into. Suspect cut the lock and stole food items. No case opened.
THEFT - MAIN STR (Tues 5 September @ 10h50) - Allsound Guards were requested to assist after a shop employee was caught stealing. SAPS were contacted, case was opened and suspect handed over.
PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS / HEUWELKRUIN
BURGLARY - ERICA STR (Sun 3 September @ 11h39) - Client activated the panic alarm when intruder broke into outside store room. Clothing description was provided and Officers searched the area. Client reported only spark plugs missing. Suspect was not found.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - RIDGE DR (Mon 4 September @ 12h32) - Keyholder reported attempted burglary at house. Force marks were found on a window, but no entry was gained. No case opened.
THEFT - LOERIE STR (Tues 5 September @ 15h41) - Client telephoned to report that outside lights and wiring was stolen from the building. No case opened.
SALT RIVER / GREEN PASTURES / BLARICUM
THEFT - SALT RIVER (Wed 6 September @ 16h50) - Resident reported that speakers were stolen from the house during the night. He suspected that it was a family member. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.

THEFT OUT M.V. - HERONS WAY (Thurs 31 August @ 09h39) - Resident reported that 2 vehicles were broken into during the night. Only coins reported missing. No case opened.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - VIGILANCE DR (Thurs 31 August @ 07h15) - Client reported an attempted break-in. Back window was found broken but burglar bars were still in tact. Nothing reported stolen. Case was opened with SAPS.
BURGLARY - PARADE STR (Fri 1 September @ 01h06) - Client telephoned to report that garage was broken into. Door was forced and 2 Weedeaters and a chainsaw were reported missing. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.
THEFT OUT OF M.V. - BOSWERKER STR (Sat 2 September @ 07h09) - Client reported vehicles broken into. Car radio and back lights were reported missing. SAPS were notified and a case opened.
BURGLARY - HIBISCUS STR (Sat 2 September @ 23h52) - ADT reported an alarm at premises. Allsound Officer confirmed small glass pane was removed. Owner was unavailable to confirm if entry was gained or if anything was missing. No case opened at the time.
BURGLARY - N2, NEKKIES (Tues 5 September @ 02h40) - Officer responded to alarm signal and confirmed break-in. Window was broken. Keyholder unable to confirm if anything was missing. Case to be opened in the morning.
BURGLARY - UNION STR (Tues 5 September @ 09h15) - Client reported a break-in at premises at unarmed portion. Window was forced open and items to value of approx. R5000 were stolen. SAPS were notified for case to be opened.

BURGLARY - MARLIN DR (Fri 1 September @ 04h30) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found window broken. Keyholder was notified but unable to confirm if anything was missing. No case opened.
