KNYSNA NEWS - PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:
TOWN AREA
THEFT - CHURCH ST (Thurs 2 Aug @ 15h00) – Allsound Officer was stopped and advised of the theft of Kudu Horns. Horns were found in nearby bushes. No arrests made.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - HILL ST (Thurs 2 Aug @ 12h29) – Client reported an attempted burglary at the flat. Glass was removed from the frame and suspect tried to force burglar bars open. No entry was gained and nothing was missing.
THEFT - VOORTREKKER ST (Fri 3 Aug @ 09h02) - Client requested assistance for possible theft. Suspect was apprehended in possession of a fireplace stolen from adjacent burnt property. Keyholder was notified, a case was opened and suspect was charged with Theft.
BURGLARY - RAWSON ST (Fri 3 Aug @ 14h01) - Client reported that suspect entered the business premises while they were out on lunch and stolen 5 laptops. No witnesses known and no information available on the suspect. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
SHOPLIFTING - NELSON ST (Fri 3 Aug @ 16h19) - Allsound Guards requested assistance to a shoplifting. Two suspects were apprehended for theft of around 15 padlocks. Suspects were handed over to SAPS.
THEFT OUT M.V. - MAIN ST (Sat 4 Aug @ 02h26) - Gentleman phoned in for assistance after a suspect grabbed his laptop bag while he was getting into his vehicle. Allsound Officers searched the surrounding area. Suspect was not found.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - MAIN ST (Mon 6 Aug @ 08h40) - Client telephoned to report an attempted break-in. Window beading was removed and glassed was cracked. No entry was gained and nothing was missing.
THEFT OUT M.V. - GRAY ST (Tues 7 August @ 15h00) - Tourists reported that their vehicle was broken into some time between 13h30 and 14h30. A floral backpack containing a pink Instant Camera, an iPhone 6s in pink cover and a khaki jacket were stolen. Vehicle owner opened a case with SAPS.
KNYSNA HEIGHTS / PARADISE
THEFT - HANDEL ST (Fri 3 August @ 13h16) - Officer responded to alarm signal but found no forced entry. Keyholder was notified and confirmed that a Michelin Tyre was missing from the unlocked garage. No case was opened.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - BOEKENHOUT ST (Fri 3 August @ 14h16) - Client reported an attempted break-in at the property by forcing the window. Suspect fled when he was spotted by the owner. Allsound Officers and SAPS K9 members responded. Suspect was spotted hiding in bushes and tried to flee but was apprehended by K9 member. Case was opened and suspect was charged.
THEFT - MILKWOOD DR (Tues 7 August @ 12h40) - Officer was dispatched to a panic signal from the property. Domestic worker reported that a suspect reached through an open window and stole a bag. Some items were recovered in nearby bushes. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
THEFT - WAENHOUT ST (Thurs 2 August @ 07h58) – Client reported that their carport shade cloth was stolen sometime during the night. No case was opened, no further info available.
ATTEMPTED THEFT - DAM SE BOS (Sat 4 August @ 08h36) - Allsound Guard requested assistance when a suspect tried to steal planks from a building site. Suspect fled when the guard confronted him. No case was opened.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - WAENHOUT STR (Mon 6 August @ 00h49) - Officer responded to beam alarm and found that beading on window frame was removed. Suspect was caught on the property. SAPS were notified but no case was opened as the suspect was juvenile. SAPS removed the suspect.
BURGLARY - SETHOSA ST (Mon 6 August @ 09h52) - Client reported that there had been a break-in at the premises. Suspect entered via the roof. Owner confirmed that a few bottles of alcohol were missing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - N2 NEKKIES (Tues 7 August @ 03h22) - Officer responded to alarm signal and confirmed forced marks were found on the door and a window. No access was gained, nothing reported missing.
BUFFALO BAY
THEFT - SAND ST (Tues 7 August @ 18h05) - Client reported that copper water pipes were stolen from the property. Time and date of theft was unknown. No case opened.
