PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Vigilant Bitou law enforcement officers managed to foil a drug trafficking operation in Plettenberg Bay on Monday 20 September.
According to the Bitou municipal communications team, officers stopped a vehicle near Kranshoek on the outskirts of Plett for a traffic offence.
"However, suspicious behaviour by the driver and passengers led the law enforcement officers to undertake a search," the team said.
This led to the discovery and confiscation of a large volume of drugs including Mandrax, tik and dagga. Officers called in the assistance of local police and three suspects were arrested and taken to the Kwanokuthula police station.
Officers Nigel Maart, Mlulameli Siphango and Siyatemba Dyan are saluted for a job well done. Pictured here are some of the drugs confiscated.
