KNYSNA NEWS - Four dancers of the Sidwell Roman School of Ballet represented their studio at the 13th South African International Ballet Competition last weekend, delivering a strong performance across their respective divisions.
Christina Jonsson, Gabriella Jonsson, Jaden Morton and Cayden Bean competed at the prestigious competition, and three of the four progressed to the finals.
A highlight for the studio was the trio Entr'acte, performed by Christina, Gabriella and Jaden, which was awarded gold for best ballet trio.
Cayden also produced an impressive performance despite competing with an ankle injury. He earned a silver medal in ballet and a bronze medal in contemporary.
Another major achievement came for Jaden, who was awarded a one-year scholarship to Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, USA.
