PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - For the first time, South African electronic music trio GoodLuck will be hosting a three-day music festival over the 2022/23 New Year's period as part of their annual Get Lucky Summer series.
The new year's eve (NYE) celebration will feature top SA artists and groups such as Mango Groove, Spoegwolf, Will Linley and Veranda Panda and more DJs and live acts will be announced soon.
Through their Get Lucky Summer concert series, GoodLuck has become a mainstay of the summer festivities roster in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay over the December holiday period, with eight years of rocking the stages in the two towns.
However, things are to change this year as the series returns to the Plett Rugby Club in Robberg for what GoodLuck claims will be the biggest and best NYE festival the town has ever seen.
Over and above the New Year's festivities, there will be three Get Lucky Summer shows in Plettenberg Bay this summer season. Show number one, on 18 December, will feature Majozi and GoodLuck.
The next show will be on 28 December and is a Prime Circle takeover, with an appearance from Gerry VDM too. Next is the NYE event, and finally on 8 January 2023 the 2022/23 Get Lucky Summer series will wrap up with GoodLuck and Msaki.
The festival will start on 30 December, run through 31 December and end on New Year's Day 2023. Tickets are available at www.howler.co.za.
