KNYSNA NEWS FLASH - Slide The City is coming to South Africa and Knysna was chosen as one of the few centres to slide into this extreme adventure.
On December 16, Vigilance Drive, Knysna will most probably be the main attraction of events in Knysna. Three street blocks in all Slide the City host destinations will be transformed into thrilling ride sites where participants will use inflatables to skim at high speed down the huge 304m long water slide, made of slippery, durable vinyl.
Food, music and fun activities will be on offer all along the way.
"As an official franchisee, the slide complies with the safety requirements and municipal regulations of each host city. Children must be taller than 1,2 metres to slide. Don’t miss out on South Africa’s most sought-after summer slide," said Deidre de Lange, spokesperson for Slide the City.
Tickets for South Africa’s first Slide The City, presented by Huisgenoot, YOU and DRUM in partnership with Nedbank, already went on sale on September 4.
"Adrenaline junkies and slide enthusiasts are advised to book early to be guaranteed a chance of experiencing the ride of their life. A single slide costs R99 with tickets for three slides at R250 and the Super Slider pass offering unlimited access at R490. Tickets are sold in two-hour slots to avoid overcrowding."
