The Minehunter of the Mine Countermeasures Squadron will be berthed at Thesen's Jetty.
The ship's arrival was originally expected on Tuesday, but it had to be delayed due to sea trials after mechanical refits to ensure that the vessel was safe and sea-worthy.
Members of the public can visit the ship between 10:00 and 17:00 today.
There will be no visits on Friday, July 11 as the crew will be preparing to entertain the mayor at the cocktail reception that evening. The ship will be again open for visits on Saturday and Sunday, between 10:00 and 17:00.
