Update
KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna police launched a manhunt following a shooting incident in Flenters location last week. Cases of attempted murder and robbery were opened after a spaza owner was shot on Tuesday 13 August at about 20:15.
Local police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies said preliminary investigation indicates that four suspects, one of whom had a firearm, entered the shop and took an undisclosed amount of cash, and that gunshots went off when they left the premises.
"One person sustained injuries during the incident and was rushed to hospital for further medical attention. The extent of his injuries is not yet known. No arrests have been made yet."
An 18-year-old man, an employee on the premises, also sustained wounds to the head and arm as a result of the shooting. He was transported to hospital where he received medical attention. He is in a critical condition.
The police is urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist their investigation, by phoning Sergeant Vusumzi Xokozela on 044 302 6652 or the Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
