Police are still searching for the robbers who entered the home of a 62-year-old woman at about 09:15 and demanded cash. One of the men was armed with a handgun, while the other had pepper spray.
Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Association (PBCPA) operations director Otto Olivier said the men were wearing blue overalls and black balaclavas at the time of the incident.
Police spokesperson Captain Bernandine Steyn said earlier that the men had also demanded jewellery, cellphones and laptops. "They fled the scene on foot with four cellphones. No shots were fired and no one sustained any injuries," Steyn said.
No arrest has been made.
