PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - In an effort to boost rural safety in Plettenberg Bay and surrounding areas after a recent farm attack, various crime fighters will be staging a simulation exercise in the area next week.
According to Eden Police the simulation will take place in Uplands Wittedrift in the Bitou area.
This planned simulation has been approved by the police's Eden Rural Protection and is to improve service delivery through practice.
Many role-players will be in attendance, including the Eden Cluster rural protection coordinator; the visible policing unit; local K-9 units; the police forensic unit, the police public order unit; other police specialised units, Bitou law enforcement, medical responders; farm watch and responders; private security that will include response and tactical units; municipal representatives; trauma counsellors, the traffic department and CCTV operators.
