Die Werkswinkel is a project of the Knysna Association for Persons with Disabilities.
The Knysna Fire Department personnel and Knysna municipal IT, forensic pathology and metro ambulance services staff, as well as people from the Water Academy were on hand to provide whatever assistance they could.
In some cases the help will continue in the months to come, with some visitors offering to respond to specific needs at the Hornlee premises.
