KNYSNA NEWS - With the sun beating down on Knysna last weekend, participants in the 251st Knysna parkrun came out in their numbers to pound the pavement and keep their fitness levels on track.
Temperatures were already well into the high 20s by the time the race got under way at 08:00, but it would take less than 20 minutes for the leaders to make their way back to the finish line, with Steve Sherratt leading the pack.
Sherratt finished the race in a time of 19:05, followed closely by Rick Matter with a time of 19:11 (a new personal best), and then Tristan Stubbs who clocked 19:17.
Stubbs was followed by the first female runner of the day Nicola Wills who finished her 5km in a time of 19:21. The first veteran over the line was Michael Glick with a time of 21:35 while the first junior to cross the line was Aidan Brewer in 22:11.
