KNYSNA NEWS - After the start of the Startline Challenge a few weeks ago, organisers of the now-postponed Simola Hillclimb have continued to add to things that their fans can do from the comfort of their home to make up for the lack of Hillclimb action.
The Startline Challenge is a virtual one, that started with everyone being invited to line up on the Simola "startline" by posting a photograph of any car they would love to enter into the real event. This could have been their daily commute or their dream car.
Now, the organisers have extended the challenge to include some additional aspects. This time, you have been challenged to create your version of the Simola Hillclimb startline, made from anything you have at home.
The cool kids over at Covert Distribution kicked off the challenge with their Lego version above, closely followed by Janus Janse van Rensburg, who pulled up to his Lego #SimolaHillclimb startline with a Nismo Nissan GT-R GT3. Post your creation to our Facebook page (@SimolaHillclimb) with the #StartlineChallenge.
They have also started something new to minimise the boredom suffered by Hillclimb fans."We have teamed up with Castrol to bring you the daily Castrol Quiz, kicking off soon on our @SimolaHillclimb Facebook page," organisers said. "Follow us on Facebook (if you don’t already) and keep your eyes peeled to take part in this fun Hillclimb related activity where you can test your knowledge of all things relating to the fastest Hill in South Africa - the Simola Hill!"
