KNYSNA NEWS AND VIDEO - A march organised by the EFF in Knysna has not yet commenced as scheduled today, 1 May.
At approximately 10:15 the Knysna-Plett Herald (KPH) visited the starting point of the march, the Sanlam centre in Nekkies next to the N2, only to find a large police contingent on the side of the highway waiting for the march to kick off, but not many protesters.
The march, which was supposed to start at 09:00, had still not started at the time of this article being posted online, with only about 15 protesters gathered.
It is supposed to proceed to the Knysna Provincial Hospital via the N2, after which - according to the information supplied - those taking part in the march will proceed to Food Lovers Market, corner of Waterkant Drive and Tide Street at 13:30. Memorandums will be handed over and the EFF march will disperse at 15:30.
KPH received unconfirmed reports on the scene that EFF supporters are currently being bussed in from George to join in the event.
