KNYSNA NEWS - A group of local residents have taken it upon themselves to keep Knysna's coast as uncluttered by rubbish as possible, and are calling for more volunteers to do so on International Coastal Cleanup Day on 15 September this year.
According to local Nelson Das Fontes, Knysnarians with a green – or rather, ocean blue – disposition can join one of five groups that will be scattered around Knysna's coast to clean it up from 11:00 to 14:00 on 15 September.
The slogan, "Be part of the solution and not the pollution" says exactly what the mission of the day will be.
Bring along some bin bags, durable gloves, drinking water, sunblock and a cap, as well as any "nifty" cleaning equipment you might have and join this family event.
Help locals keep Knysna's coast clean on 15 September for International Coastal Cleanup Day.
