KNYSNA NEWS - Well-known local businessman Bert Scheepers is still missing after his disappearance on Thursday last week and Knysna police is appealing to anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to please contact the investigating officer 044 302 6687 or 082 778 7241.
Egbertus Johannes (Bert) Scheepers (65) was last seen on Thursday 9 May near his residence on Thesen Island in Knysna.
The owner of House of Classic and Sports Cars at 70 Main Rd, Westhill, Knysna, Scheepers is well-known in local and national motor enthusiast circles.
Provincial police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie said preliminary investigations indicate Scheepers left his home for work at about 08:00 that morning. He allegedly returned to the island later in the day, but was not seen again.
His phone, wallet and the Mercedes-Benz he was driving were found at his home and none of his classic vehicles have been reported missing.
Scheepers is about 1.9m tall and weighs about 90kg and was wearing dark trousers and a light blue long-sleeve jersey at the time of his disappearance.
Pojie said his life partner reported him missing on Friday 10 May.
The police assured that all information shared would be dealt with confidentially.
