KNYSNA NEWS - Following the success of their first Urban X Trail Run and Obstacle Course, Coyote Events welcomed athletes to Blackwaters River Lodge again, this time for the Uprise Trail Run on Sunday 15 November.
The race route was somewhat longer than the 3km obstacle course route, but instead of obstacles organisers mapped out a tough track for runners to traverse the Goukamma forests around Blackwaters.
The route began on the Blackwaters mashie golf course, and made its way across the bridge over the Goukamma River, into the forests, where the 5km and 10km routes split up after about 2km.
While the 5km runners turned back after 2.5km, the 10km runners were able to enjoy more of the breathtaking forests.
