KNYSNA | BITOU NEWS - The community day centre (CDC) in White Location remains the only vaccination site between Knysna and Bitou that will be open on every day of this week, with the province nearing 2,6 million vaccine registrations.
As at Monday 22 November the Western Cape has seen 2 577 081 registrations for the Covid-19 vaccine, 45,92% of the eligible population. The 18- to 34-year-old age group remains the most-registered age group with 802 426 registrations.
In the Garden Route a total of 230 302 people have registered for the vaccine, 46,52% of the eligible population. Here, the 60+ age group has seen the most registered individuals with 65 692 vaccine registrations.
In Knysna there has been a total of 32 841 vaccine registrations, which is 57,21% of the eligible population. In Knysna the most-registered age group is the 35- to 49-year-old cohort with 9 980 registrations.
Bitou continues to edge closer to the 20 000 mark, with a total of 19 635 vaccine registrations, 46,20% of the eligible population. As with Knysna, the 35- to 49-year-old age group is the most-registered cohort with 6 526 registered individuals.
