KNYSNA NEWS - Pick n Pay Sedgefield Eagle Stars RFC claimed the honours in an entertaining Challenge Cup/League derby against Jaguars RFC at Neverland Park last Saturday. 

The A team of Eagle Stars produced the match of the day as they held off a determined Jaguars comeback to secure a thrilling 38-36 victory after leading 28-19 at half-time.

Dehan Maritz, Averon Jafta, Adriaan Konstable, Elrich Grootboom and Jesse Lottering scored tries for Eagle Stars.

Konstable enjoyed a flawless afternoon with the boot, converting all five tries and adding a penalty.

Jaguars responded in the B-team fixture, overturning a 15-11 half-time deficit to claim a 32-20 victory. Eagle Stars finished strongly when their C-team side defeated Jaguars 17-5. Luciano Pekeur and Elzano Damane scored tries, with Damane adding two conversions and a penalty.
