The first Urban X obstacle trail run took place on Sunday 1 November, with about 300 participants tackling 10 obstacles over 3km spread out across Blackwaters River Lodge and Mashie Golf Course. The event was the first of three Urban X races set to be held at Blackwaters over the course of the next three months, and attracted participants from far and wide, including Hanlie Signorini – global ambassador of the Spartan Race which is one of the world's toughest obstacle course races.
