KNYSNA ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Herewith an urgent reminder to make note of what has now become a Knysna institution.
The town has long since been the bastion, even the last stand if you will, for what is now broadly termed The Blues with Brent Kozak and Cuan Korsten plying their versatile set across the Garden Route on a regular basis and the likes of Gordi Brown upholding the genre's good name with his blues harp.
This celebration of the format comes to a head (or Heads if you must in our case) each year for the past few of them in a massive blues blowout that covers pretty much every aspect and strain of the musical style with an intoxicating lineup of SA blues artists, who are (in no particular order):
- The Albert Frost Trio
- The Black Cat Bones
- Basson Laubscher & The Violent Free Peace
- Boulevard Blues
- The Fake Leather Blues Band
- Michael Canfield
- and introducing James Smith
Join them for a full afternoon and evening of blues music at the beautiful lagoonside Mitchell's Brewery and receive your very own pair of branded wayfarer sunglasses included in the ticket price (only available to patrons and musicians, and cannot be purchased if you do not attend.)
