KNYSNA SAILING NEWS - A very successful and enjoyable Interclub Regatta was held at the Knysna Yacht Club over the weekend of 16 and 17 February.

This event is held annually and has proved to be very popular with both sailors and spectators. The weather was good and there was enough wind to stage seven races over the two days.

Fifty-three boats competed, representing six sailing clubs from the Western and Eastern Cape regions. The competitors were divided into three fleets, namely seniors, juniors and catamarans.

The winning club for the juniors was George Lakes Yacht Club (GLYC), for the seniors it was Redhouse Yacht Club (RYC), and for the catamarans, Knysna Yacht Club (KYC). The individual winners were Conrad Holm (junior fleet, GLYC); Yorgi Divaris (senior, KYC); and Declan Nurse (catamaran, KYC).
