KNYSNA NEWS - The annual Derby Day between Oakhill Prep and Holy Cross Primary School from George took place on Saturday 30 May, providing an entertaining afternoon of competitive school sport.
Rugby, netball and hockey matches were played in a spirited atmosphere, with players from both schools displaying impressive skill and sportsmanship.
Spectators were treated to a thrilling U11 rugby encounter that kept supporters on the edge of their seats, while the netball teams impressed with their disciplined and flowing style of play.
The Oakhill U13B girls' hockey team delivered a confident performance, but it was the dramatic late comeback by the Oakhill U13A boys that sparked jubilation on the sidelines.
Oakhill School thanked the passionate Oakhill Prep Supporters Club for bringing the gees and creating a vibrant atmosphere, and expressed its appreciation to Holy Cross for a day of healthy competition.
