KNYSNA NEWS - Following a narrow loss at home to Happy Hearts two weeks ago, Knysna United last weekend travelled to Oudtshoorn to face Spring Roses, returning home with a welcome win to revive their form.
Knysna United and Spring Roses battled it out in Bridgton on the evening of Friday 6 May.
The second teams played their match first, with the men from Knysna giving their opponents a 22-7 beating.
The first team was hoping to repeat this success when they faced their counterparts and they managed just this, with the 29-22 score indicating a return to their winning ways in the SWD Super League B.
The CX clubs in SWD Super League A had a tough time on Saturday 7 May.
Sedgefield Eagle Stars played against Maori in a must-win encounter in Smutsville.
The third teams played first and Maori won 44-5.
They second team also won their game, with 20-11. The first team game was a closer affair, but Maori still came out tops with 26-21.
Plett outfit Jaguars travelled to Mossel Bay to take on Barbarians in a tough encounter. The home side's third team got the day going with a winning score of 47-17.
The second team continued this trend with a very dominant 45-0 victory over the Plettonians.
The first team game was the closest of the day, but Barbarians still won the match 43-24.
