The former Bulls pivot started most of the games in the early part of the season before making way for Elgar Watts a couple of weeks ago.
Watts drops to the bench for the trip to Durban. Fouche will be reunited with Ntando Kebe, who returns to the starting team for the first time in a couple of weeks in place of James Hall.
The former Kearsney schoolboy is on Junior Springbok duty.
Kevin Luiters comes in for Kebe on the bench. There are a couple of other changes, the most significant of which is the return of lock and captain Steven Sykes, who missed last week’s match against the Cheetahs through injury. Sykes takes the captaincy reins back from inside centre Shane Gates.
Schalk Oelofse started in Sykes’s place against the Cheetahs and did well enough to retain his place, with JC Astle moving to the bench. Astle was struggling with flu earlier in the week, and that might have influenced coach Deon Davids into benching him.
