The one area where the Kings have at times thrived in a difficult though not completely discouraging first season back in the premier southern hemisphere competition has been their play at the breakdowns.
Whether they team up later in the game as one comes off the bench, as has often been the case, or whether they start the game together, the Kings fetching duo of Chris Cloete and CJ Velleman have often proved a thorn in the side of the opposition.
When they team up, Velleman is usually at No 8 with Cloete playing openside, while on the other occasions Velleman or Cloete rotate in the No 6 jersey.
