KNYSNA NEWS - Members of the Knysna High School gymnastics club recently took part in Eden trials as well as the provincial championship and did both their club and their town proud.
At the Western Cape championship it was Lathi Oliphant and Nalise Roman who performed spectacularly and were both chosen to represent the provincial team at the national championship to be held in Gauteng in October.

Lathi, from Knysna Primary School, received honours when she took third place in the 4-9 age group out of 35 gymnasts, while Nalise's floor routine in the 13-17 age group also secured her a third place.
At the same competition, Precious Melambo won gold for her floor routine.
At the Eden trials, a number of these Knysna gymnasts held their town's name high. They were Anri Barnard, Lathi, Enathi Matungo, Tenika Adams (silver), Robin Kayster, Abby Reyneke (silver), Jade Derche (gold), Dienkie Hendriks (bronze), Rishkara Gaya, Lisa Barnard (bronze) and Dané Venter (gold).
