PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A group of talented young musicians recently earned top honours at the Young Musicians Competition Gala Concert held in George.
The annual Young Musicians Competition Gala Concert showcases some of the region's most promising young performers and provides a platform for musicians to demonstrate their skills before adjudicators and audiences.
Performing as part of the Top Tones Instrumental Ensemble, the musicians represented The Oak Note Music Academy under the guidance of their teacher, Marie Skeen. Their outstanding performance saw them awarded the prestigious Anna du Toit Junior Ensemble Trophy.
The ensemble consists of current and former learners of Plettenberg Bay Primary School, who have continued to develop their musical talents through dedicated practice and training at the academy.
Skeen congratulated the ensemble on their achievement, describing the award as a fitting reward for their dedication and passion for music.
"Winning the Anna du Toit Junior Ensemble Trophy is a significant achievement and reflects the hard work and commitment of the young musicians, as well as the quality of instruction they receive. Their success has brought recognition not only to The Oak Note Music Academy, but also to Plettenberg Bay Primary School and the wider Plettenberg Bay community," she said.
