Update
PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Fresh off a string of world-class performances and titles, Plettenberg Bay karate star Galliano Boni is again setting off for distant shores to compete in two competitions.
The 12-year-old Greenwood Bay College learner is off to England next Wednesday to compete in the Great Britain Open in Birmingham on 3 and 4 September.
The youngster's father proudly said Galliano had been invited to compete in this event.
About a week later, Galliano will travel to Italy where he will represent South Africa at the Goju Ryu World Championships in Foligno from 8 to 11 September.
He gave stellar performances in the United States in July at the Iska World Martial Arts Championships in Orlando, Florida, where he won two grand champion trophies - something no other South African has ever done before.
This was followed by another great set of achievements at the WUFK World Championships in Fort Lauderdale a week later, that included two more world titles in kata and kumite.
