Although rainy conditions resulted in the scheduled time-trials being postponed, the half-hill novice event proceeded as planned, with Keegan Reid taking first place.
The fun events, the poker run and slide jam also took place on the Saturday.
Sunny skies and a tail wind on Sunday ensured that riders reached speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour, much to the delight of the spectators. Jason Brown came first in the Nixon Top 8 Time Trials in 47.94 seconds and went on to win the open finals' R10 000 cash prize, sponsored by Sector 9.
