PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Tracy-Ann's School of Ballet in Plettenberg Bay is going from strength to strength, and it recently bagged gold medals at the South Cape Eisteddfod.
In this competition, Tianna Donson received gold for all three of her ballet solo items and will be competing in the championship category from 2025.
Princess Lukubeni received the Top Junior Ballet Award and was granted the opportunity to perform her classical solo dance (for which she got 95%) together with a demi-character doll dance duet with Lulo Kettledas, for which they got 96% in the 5-6-year-old category.
The Little Angels (7 to 8 years) classical quartet was one of the items that featured at this prestigious event, which showcased only the best items from all the art genres.
Fundraiser
Earlier this year in April, the ballet school took part in their first American Academy of Dancing Medal Awards show. Four dancers (Donson, Ella Green, Lisakhanya Lobese and Jordan Sandow) were awarded partial scholarships to attend the Summer School in New York in 2025.
The ballet school is planning to host a fundraiser to help cover the expenses for the trip to New York.
