KNYSNA NEWS - 2023 ended in thrills for a group of enthusiastic runners as the KnysnaX Trail Summer Run Series, hosted by Blackwaters River Lodge and Black Lourie Restaurant on 31 December.
Participants ended their year on a high note by sweating it out on the three different running trails.
The Fun Trail, a scenic 6km route, crossed the Choo-Tjoe bridge and railway station. The Full Race, a 12km route, started at Belvidere, Buffalo trail and The Pro Race, a 19km route, started at Caltex Waterfront and finished at Blackwaters River Lodge.
The Knysna X Trail Summer Run was associated with the Western Heads Goukamma Conservancy, with a portion of entry fees going towards alien species clearing and the conservation of the endangered Knysna Fynbos.
