KNYSNA NEWS - A young gymnast from Knysna, Euphre’za Witbooi, has made her hometown proud with an outstanding performance at the South African Gymnastics Championships held in Pretoria last week.
Witbooi, who trains at the Knysna Gymnastics Club under the guidance of Yvette Share, competed in Level 5 U12. She claimed gold in the vault event and placed seventh overall in her category.
Just a month before nationals, she also made her mark at the Western Province Championships in Saldanha Bay, bringing home a gold and a silver medal.
Her journey to the national stage was made possible through a community effort which included generous donations and fundraising events.
