KNYSNA NEWS - In an action-packed final weekend of the Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival, numerous netball teams from the Eden district battled it out at the Knysna Oyster Netball Tournament at the Hornlee sports field.
The crowd packed the courtside for Saturday’s exciting senior tournament and supported their respective teams with shouts of encouragement and a song or two.

For organiser of the tournament Lorenzo van Aswegen, these tournaments are a way to prove that women’s sport alive in Knysna is alive and well.
“I try to involve as many teams in and around Knysna as possible so that netball and other forms of women’s sport will be promoted in the area,” he said.
In another match, 2017 champions Atlantic Spurs from Sedgefield (white bibs) took on the Knysna Loeries, a game just as action-packed as the Knysna United / Karatara All Stars game.
