The funds were raised in a joint effort between Rotary Knysna, the Nieuwkoop Rotary Club (Netherlands) and Rotary International.
Representatives of Nieuwkoop Rotary Club recently visited the sport school where they were welcomed by the school's manager Jan van Wageningenon.
Knysna Sport School coaches gave the Nieuwkoop guests a thorough insight into the school's work and successes whereafter the president of the Nieuwkoop Rotary Club Marjo Hoogenbosch thanked all the school's staff and roleplayers for the great job they are doing.
Hoogenbosch surprised Van Wageningen and his staff by announcing the donation. Van Wageningen said the school will use the money for development in cricket, hockey, soccer, cycling, golf, table tennis, cross-country and tag rugby.
